I worked on this game primarily as an artist. The Fall follows lovebirds Autumn and Leaf as they traverse the changing forest they call home. You control Autumn with WASD and Leaf flies alongside your mouse cursor.

Aside from simple sidescroll platforming, parts of Autumn and Leaf’s world is torn out. Enemies may be slain with the Leaf Blade. You use your mouse to click and drag special platforms along the paper so that Autumn can cross. Once she crosses, the torn part of the forest is restored.

I have to say that this game’s art is my favorite out of all the games I’ve worked on. I’m very happy with the color palette, characters, and the overall feel. I think it conveys a love of nature and wonder. The game consists of a single level made for Global Game Jam, making it short and sweet but pretty clean and polished. My only regret for this game is that we didn’t enlist a dedicated designer, who would’ve made the game *really* shine.
